ED LARIOS, ’86 -’04 – Coach: Football, Golf, Baseball, Basketball

Burlingame High School

Ed Larios is a very celebrated coach at BHS from 1986-2004. He was a coach for both Frosh/Soph and Varsity teams in Golf, Basketball, Baseball and Football while at BHS. From ’86 – ’96 Ed was Varsity Football Defensive Coordinator winning 3 PAL Championships and having 10 winning seasons. As the Head Football Coach in ’97-’98, Ed won the PAL championship and was recognized as PAL Coach of the Year and San Mateo Times All County Football Coach of the Year. In ’99 as Head FS Football coach they won the PAL Championship. From ‘92-’04, Ed coached the FS Girls Basketball team winning 8 PAL Girls Basketball Championships. From ’00-’04, Ed coached Boys Varsity Golf and won 2 PAL Championships, placing 4th in CCS. In ’03-’04 Ed established the first Girls Golf team and help bring this sport into SMUHSD as an official sport. Ed is a well-respected coach who also played locally at San Francisco State where he is also a football Hall of Fame inductee. Ed played one year under Norm van Brocklin and the Atlanta Falcons. Ed started the BHS Athletic Hall of Fame in 1994.
